The following is an update regarding questions we have received concerning the horse farm located on Sunflower Rd.

The Hot Spring County Sheriff's Office has been to this property a minimum of five times since January. We have received multiple complaints about horses in poor condition. The owner of this property claims this is a horse rescue facility for animals in poor physical condition. After continued investigation, we decided to request assistance from the State of Arkansas Department of Agriculture investigators. They have now been to the property multiple times. They reviewed all required paperwork and addressed some issues they discovered.

As a law enforcement agency, we MUST comply with Arkansas state law as it currently stands. There is a small group of people that continue to make false claims about our actions in this case. These same people also have a history with the owner of this farm. We do not prosecute people because they are disliked! We will continue to investigate alleged crimes of this nature.
